9 Best Family and Kids Movies 2022
1.) Turning Red
First up on our list is a well-loved movie that has been playing in our humble abode about 10-12 times a week. I know! It’s quite deranging for an adult, but I must admit the songs are quite catchy that I found myself singing the songs in the shower too!
The story follows the story of a young girl names Mei-mei who is 13-years old and is quite afflicted with herself because whenever she gets too excited or emotional she will then turn into a giant red panda!
Teenage years are the most confusing time of our lives, and you’ll surely relate to Mei-mei at some point in the movie, and if you have teenagers at the same age as hers watching the movie with you this will be an easy two-thumbs up!

8.) Sneakerella
Cinderella has been done by Disney in many different versions but none quite like this one!

9.) Apollo 10 ½: A Space Age Child
From the imagination of Richard Linklater, he blesses us with an out-of-this-world movie about the moon landing where he also gives us two lenses to see through: the first one is from the astronauts, and the other is from a 10-year-old boy named stan who dreams of being the first ever person to be in space.
Now what I love about this movie is that it’s not the typical CGI kids’ movie that Netflix makes. In the movie, Linklater flaunts his love for rotoscope animation which is so refreshing and candid, and what adds to that is the thrill of the story of what it was like to be a child in the race to space era.
Watch this with your kids, and this movie will surely be a positive thought-provoking piece that will inspire them to love space even more!
